The Spacehub
From time to time, it might be that I need to physically work on your laptop, but finding a time and location which suits both of us can be tricky. This where laptop maintenance in a Spacehub is the way to go!
This is where the Spacehub network comes in. There are a bunch of these all over the metropolitan area. In shopping centres and transportation hubs. The beauty of this, is that I can work on the laptop whilst you are working or shopping nearby. You get an easy drop-off and collection experience. I get a clean and private working environment.
Each Spacehub is equipped with several main power sockets, and even a couple of USB charging ports. Some are equipped with a computer screen which gives a real home-from-home experience for remote working.
Spacehubs are great! There are plenty of them, and they are clean, functional, and simple to reserve. The one time I needed to call Customer Services, I got through to them quickly and received great support with getting my app working (I had forgotten to turn on bluetooth … ).
The laptop
The work on the laptop was straight forward. I plugged it into the wall socket in the Spacehub, and began the diagnostics. In this case, the laptop has it’s own diagnostic tools built into the BIOS, but I also carry my own USB based tools too.
The diagnostics completed without reporting any errors, and the next step was a physical inspection inside the laptop. I was not expecting any big surprises since the onboard checks had all passed, but I wanted also to check for any build of dust or debris near the fan.
Since everything was in order, I replaced the laptop base, and let my customer know that the laptop was ready for collection.
And finally…
Giving a laptop a “once over” takes around half an hour and is a great way to spot potential problems before they even occur. Laptop maintenance in a Spacehub is super a convenient way achieve this.
