My name is Alex Metcalfe. I provide friendly, and professional IT Support, for families, private individuals, and entrepreneurs.
I actually trained in the UK as a Youth and Community worker. In 2005 I moved to Finland where I worked for three years as daycare teacher. 2008 saw me switch career paths to IT. During that time, I worked my way up from computer installation work, to Specialist level.

My dream for IT Support …
My dream is more than just to ”save the world, one laptop at a time.”. With over 13 years professional IT experience, I have experienced pretty much every aspect of the IT Support world. From ordering mice and keyboards, to network infrastructure planning, and IT policy design. For the home user some of this might seem irrelevant, but I believe that the same principles which make a successful IT environment at a business level, can be scaled down for the home or in a small office.
My biggest joy is to have the privilege of someone trusting me with a problem they are facing, and then to be able to solve it elegantly.
For the most part I work in the Espoo and Helsinki areas. If you have a good network connection, I can provide remote support to almost anywhere!
